VAKKO SUMAHAN PRIVACY NOTICE ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA OF GUESTS
As Hotel and Residence Çengelköy Otelcilik ve Turizm İşletmeleri Anonim Şirketi (“Vakko Sumahan”), we value the protection of your personal data, so we expect you to show the same care. For this reason, it is very important for us that you read this text detailing which personal data we use for what purpose and clearly understand the obligations of Vakko Sumahan, who is responsible for the administrative and technical security of your personal data as “Data Controller”.
Why am I reading this text?
Article 10 of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), which entered into force on April 7, 2016 requires that the persons whose personal data is processed (used) (referred to as the relevant persons in the KVKK) to be informed by the “Data Controller” who uses this data. As a Data Controller, we have to prove that you, have been informed about your personal data we will process.
What are your personal data used and in what ways are they obtained?
As Vakko Sumahan we collect your personal data within the scope of the Privacy Notice through digital means (referred to as the "automatic" method in KVKK) by your completion of the Guest List form. Obtained personal data and the legal reason for obtaining them are listed below:

Are personal data transferred to others?
Yes, we may have to transfer personal data to our business partners, official institutions, auditors, lawyers and financial advisors. However, we make the transfer only within the framework of certain purposes and within your knowledge. Therefore, personal data is transferred;
· In order to fulfill our current legal obligations upon the request of the authorized institutions and organizations; to regulatory and supervisory authorities and public institutions or organizations that are expressly authorized to request personal data in laws,
· To the obligatory persons and legal advisors related to the legal follow-up processes that we are working with for the follow-up of legal affairs,
· To our subsidiaries in order to ensure the continuity of our company processes, to fulfill our organizational requirements, to provide technical infrastructure and to carry out support and controls, to plan and execute advertising and marketing processes, and to carry out audit and reporting processes,
· To bulk message delivery service which enables the management of consent and rejection records for the sending of commercial electronic messages,
· To bulk message delivery service providers for the purpose of sending commercial electronic messages to you if you have consented to the sending of commercial electronic messages,
· To our subsidiaries in order to monitor our business processes, improve our services and carry out audit and reporting processes.
What rights does KVKK give me?
KVKK allows you to control your personal data such as:
(a) learn whether or not her/his personal data have been processed; (b) Request information as to processing if her/his data have been processed; (c) Learn the purpose of processing of the personal data and whether data are used in accordance with their purpose; (ç) Know the
third parties in the country or abroad to whom personal data have been transferred; (d) Request rectification in case personal data are processed incompletely or inaccurately; (e) Request deletion or destruction of personal data
and KVKK provides many rights including but not limited to these. You can find all of these rights and details in article 11 of the KVKK.
How can I exercise my rights?
If you want to use the rights specified, you can submit your requests in writing (for example via a warning letter or a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt) or by using a registered electronic mail (KEP) address or by means of secure electronic signature, mobile signature or using the electronic mail address that you previously presented to us and that is registered in our system
